BIOGRAPHY

     Hakyoung Kim was born in South Korea in 1989. She received a BFA in Ceramic & Glass and Sculpture from Hongik University in Korea and a MFA in Ceramics at Arizona State University. 

     Hakyoung is interested in relationships between existences. In addition, her art idea is based on oriental philosophy, and she has  tried to combine the Eastern philosophy with Western style in her artwork in the US.

     Hakyoung has participated in exhibitions and artist-in-residence programs nationally and internationally. In 2017, she was a short-term residency artist at Red Lodge Clay Center in Montana, USA. She’s currently an artist in residence at Gimhae Clayarch Museum in Gimhae, South Korea.
